Finding Middle "C" on Piano

In this first lesson on playing the piano you will learn how to find middle C. Think of it as if you were walking through the biggest mall in the world. Somehow, you need to find your way so you go and check out the mall map. Just looking at the full map won't help you if you don't know where you are. So, you look for the "You Are Here" spot on the map. Once you find that, you will be able to navigate yourself around the mall properly. Middle C is essentially the "You Are Here" spot on the map.

Middle C is the main hub that all chords and melodies are built off of in one way or another. Learning to find middle C will dramatically improve your learning curve as you will be able to find the positioning of so many more notes, so much faster.

This lesson shouldn't take more than a few minutes to go through. Once you have gone through it and studied the materials I encourage you to move on to
the next recommended lesson!
